I remember my own little ’sticky fingers’ episode. My Mum caught me and gave me ‘the talk’ but we were a hundred miles down the highway so I didn’t get to go back and return the item. The shame stayed with me for years and I never, ever experienced the temptation some teens do when put under peer pressure to do something silly like shoplifting for a ‘dare’. I am just so impressed Addie went back and faced ‘the man’ bravely!
Oh and my comment on the new layout is that I miss the post links at the top. It’s one thing I wish I could put on blogger.

Oh no! Poor Ad and Mommy! And big sister to help teach along the way! I have been lucky so far on jury duty…I shouldn’t say that though! And you are so lucky to be a stay-at-home mom. The days I have off with Zane are such a blessing, and yes sometimes boring, but totally worth it!

Hmmm, I missed this one.
We have almost have a few sticky-fingers incidences, but I managed to catch her at the last minute! I’m sure it’s bound to happen eventually…I’d handle it exactly like you!
That’s crazy it took 2 days for you to NOT be picked!

I was thinking that your jury experience might be even more meaningful if it was your own little thief that was in court!! : )

Loved the aside to mom and I, I guess lessons learned at that age stay with you forever, so you know that “sticky fingers Adikins” will at least remember facing the man.

Agree completely with Kim about having to go back to the top for comments, I don’t often leave ‘em, but enjoy reading them as a regular addition to your blog.

We haven’t encountered the sticky fingers yet…… it’s a good thing she’s so young and cute. really, who could be angry with that little girl???

Do you really think staying home is boring?

I have to say that I love the new theme, but hate that I have to scroll back up to the top of the post to click on the comments link…. I know, you didn’t design it – just had to put in my two cents.

Ooooh a sticky fingers! What a great lesson to teach her though, and good for you in making her apologize to the “man”.

I used to work in a few law firms when I was younger and jury selection was pretty interesting. There are people they automatically want to nix, but if there is any way you may have a prejudice to a certain person, you are dismissed. Sometimes it is your zip code that will do it.
