Celebrating in Seattle

J. and I are currently in Seattle celebrating our anniversary. Yep, just a quick one-day trip. We flew (are flying) up this morning, spending the day sightseeing, having a great dinner, seeing Young Frankenstein (it is opening night – and is on it’s way to Broadway!), and staying at a totally posh, luxurious hotel.

With no kids.

Happy Anniversary to us!

Thanks to Michelle and Eric for making it possible (the sans kids part!).

And thanks to my amazing husband for making the last 14 years possible. We have had an amazing ride this far, and I can honestly say that I still manage to find something new to love about you each and every day. You are funny, honest, kind, a fantastic father, oh…and you are very “handsome to me!”* I look forward to spending the rest of my days with you, my best friend.

*Emma-ism. Her Daddy is always “very handsome to me!”

How could it possibly be that 14 years has flown by?! I never did doubt your choice of J. but it is wonderful to hear how you feel about him. Way too little of that in the world these days.

Have a WONDERFUL day by yourselves and for yourselves. You guys have a great marriage and deserve to celebrate it!!

    Love to you both —

Jamie never ceases to amaze me with the things he does or gets for you. He truly is an inspiration, or should be, to husbands and how to treat “our” girls.

I’m glad it’s one of mine that’s getting treated.

    Love to you both

Happy Anniversary and congratulations to you both!! True love is very hard to find but there is no doubt about it, you have captured true love and hold it close to your heart each and every day. May you both celebrate many more years together. Enjoy your kid-free-adult evening!
