There are bobcats in them ther’ hills!

Em’s preschool is pretty close to the mountains and so I wasn’t too surprised when we got to school on Friday and there was a note on the door that said there had been a bobcat sighting and the kids were going to have indoor recess until the bobcat was caught by animal control.

I read Em the sign and explained to her what it all meant when we were walking into the school, but Nena was with us and we didn’t get to talk much about it. NENA (and DADDY) WERE COMING TO SCHOOL! We were so very excited all week to show Nena her cubby, classroom, and teacher.

So J. went to pick Em up from school and when they got home he came in and was laughing. Supposedly Em told Daddy that they could not go out for recess because “Bob the cat” was outside.

Then I picked her up Monday –

M: How was your day?
E: Ella’s daddy is a fireman and he gave us firehats and we got to go on the firetruck and I had granola bars and apple juice for a snack and we got to color all the firetruck pictures and did you know that if your clothes catch on fire you need to stop, drop, roll? Yeah, Ella’s daddy taught us that and then he showed us but I was to scared to try it and then we got to go to recess.
M: Wow. That is quite a day, did you…
E: Oh Mom! Mom! They catched Bob the Cat! He is just a big cat, did you know that? Probably just bigger than Tiger and Smokey.

Probably.

LOL…It is funny how they process what we say! Yeah, Bob the cat is just a teensy bit bigger than a housecat. 😉

I’m so glad they got Bob so that the kiddies can go outside for recess! Maybe you could see which shelter they took him to and you could adopt him!!

Can those kids just get any cuter??? I swear they are socute and get cuter with each photo!. It’s sweet to hear the little girl stuff that comes out of Em’s mouth because she just looks so darned grown up – older than she really is.

Love pumpkin patch photos – the colors are great and they always seem to turn out really good!

    Hope all is well.
