The Mighty Casey At Bat

In an effort to infuse a little bit of “sports” into our very, “girly” girls, Santa brought the family a t-ball set.

Daddy took the girls out to try it over the weekend.

They started out on the tee and all was going pretty well. There were even a few good hits “over the wall” of the courtyard.

A few runs around the bases (flowerpots, gates, and lawnchairs all stood in as bases.)…

…Um, Chicken Little? You run the other way around the bases!

Addie pretty much just cheered Em on and rode the bases – on her bike.

Then Em decided that she was ready to move off of the tee, and she wanted J. to “pitch” to her.

Winding up…

…it’s a swing…

…and a miss! (Eyes closed?!)

The mighty Casey has struck out.

But she sure was cute doing it.

I LOVE it! She’ll be hitting homeruns before you know it!

Great Photos, as always. I especially loved the 2007 photos in the previous post.

Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year!

She just might be the cutest girly girl t-ball player I’ve ever seen!! And those leggings…playing baseball…and the cock in the hip. Oh, my!

Yes, she was very cute doing it! I love her outfit…adorable! Well, they are both adorable, I should say. We tried a similar t-ball thing this summer, and Anya isn’t quite ready for it yet, either.

She is TOO FREAKIN’ CUTE! I love those expressions – and the closed eyes! She totally looks like she’s got the stance, tho. :o) Your pictures rock. Great action shots!

    Now a few random observations:
Did Addie change clothes in the middle of the game? Your girls are always dressed so cute.

And an outdoor fireplace – sweet!

HOLY COW, Christina – you are so perceptive! That has to be why you have such a great eye for photography, too!

Yes, lil A. had an accident, so we had to do a quick costume change. It was Mommy’s fault for not asking her in time….

And yeah – the outdoor fireplace uses the same chimney as our indoor one! It is a very cool addition to the little courtyard!

Gotta admit you have the girls practicing the right sport. But did I miss something? Is Casey after Sean Casey from the Tigers?

Why can’t they be a good team like the Cardinals?

    Uncle Deej will pitch anytime!!!

No, no, no – the very old poem, Casey at the Bat, By Ernest Lawrence Thayer….you gotta remember that from school, or something?
I think we had to read it.

    Here it is
