I know I’m kind of “phoning it in” this week. And I promise an update and many excuses as to why I have not written anything of substance this week (not that it is that different from most weeks!), but I do have a picture to share for Theme Thursday. Today’s theme was any interpretation of contrast.
I was going to play with some b&w photos and work on contrast, and then I saw this on Tuesday – I thought that this is a pretty cool contrast. How often do you see palm trees and snow in the same shot? Yep, there is snow on our mountains, well, there was anyhow…
Stop over to Stacy’s to see some other contrast-y shots.
Definetly contrast, snowy and wintery and then where did all the green come from? Lovely shot
Ummm….WOW! That is a fantastic shot – I am TOTALLY jealous that you even got to be anywhere that gorgeous, let alone that you LIVE there!
I love that shot. Looks like something out of the magazines!! Beautiful
Oh, yea. Great choice.
That is some crazy contrast! What a cool shot! It looks like something out of National Geographic!
Wow, beautiful shot and great contrast with the palm tree against the snowy mountain. It does look like it came out of a magazine.
That is so nice – love all the colours – reminds me of Palm Springs – for some reason everytime we go there it snows in the mountains – lol!
Wow…. that really does show an amazing contrast!
What amazing depth of field on this shot – I know that wasn’t the focus/theme but that is what I noticed first 🙂
Lovely!!!
a very cool shot!
that is very cool — quite a contrast, indeed!
Wow, what a great picture! That’s why I love where we live – for days like that! I agree with the above – it looks like it’s right out of a magazine!
Fabulous photo!!! I love it!
Pictures are good! You’re daily themes help me make more frequent posts. 😉
I love the photo and I want to be there!
Wow, *contrast* is right! That’s gorgeous, so vibrant. And saying “our mountains”? that makes me jealous.
Wow, that is a great picture. It made me want to LOOK for awhile.
Great Picture Bean. I love the colors.
